We are a non-profit organization, helping children in Juárez, Mexico go from at-risk to thriving while teaching the love of Christ!

Our Founding Story

Carlos Garcia, founder of Amigo Fiel, spent his early years on the streets of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. By age 15, having already encountered the challenges associated with the drug culture in Mexico and exposure to a less-than-optimal lifestyle, he relocated to the United States with his family. While in the States, he made a pivotal decision in 1987, choosing to embrace Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and leaving his past behind.

In 1992, a friend invited him to return to Juárez as a volunteer on a missions trip. Thereafter, Carlos began coordinating weekend outreach trips to Juárez involving his wife Sylvia, 3 children, and members of his church from Santa Fe, New Mexico. These initial activities, started more than three decades ago, ultimately led to the establishment of the Amigo Fiel ministry.

Our Mission

From the beginning, Amigo Fiel has worked to provided basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter. But our ultimate vision is to meet spiritual needs.

In the past 30 years, Amigo Fiel has grown from a few weekend trips to a full-time, daily ministry with a staff of 15 people. Through our after school programs, Bible studies, and church services, we get to share the love of Jesus with hundreds of people each week.

All of this is because of God’s provision and the faithfulness of our many partners who pray for Amigo Fiel, support the ministry, and come to Juárez to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
